2018年12月2日（日）に行います。
「いちご一会」は、子育て中の外国人・日本人パパママ同士の交流・情報交換を目的としています。

今回のテーマは「冬の過ごし方・遊び場シェア＆クリスマスゲームで遊ぼう！」

「日本の冬は寒い！暖かい部屋の中で楽しく過ごす方法は？」

「冬休み、子どもたちとどこに出かければいい？」

外国出身のママたちから出た疑問です。

だんだんと冬が近づいてくるこの季節に、

いろんな情報をシェアしながら、みんなで考えませんか？

奈良でガイドをされているReikoさんも、ゲストスピーカーとして、おすすめの遊び場を紹介してくださいます。

また、クリスマスなどに遊ぶゲームで、みんなで盛り上がりましょう！

The 20th Seika Global Network Multicultural Playgroup "Ichigo Ichie" will be held on Sunday, December 2nd, 2018.

Ichigo Ichie" is for foreign and Japanese parents to make new friends and exchange information."

The theme of upcoming playgroup is "How to spend winter - Let's share information on the playground spots and play with Christmas games!"

"What do you do to have fun and quality time in a warm room? It is so chilly outside in Japan!"
"Where do you recommend going out with the children in winter?"
These are questions from foreign mothers.

So let's share information and think about how to have winter fun.As a guest speaker, Reiko-san, who is guiding Nara, will introduce recommended playground spots.

We will also have fun games for Christmas!

We are looking for a lot of participation!

9月2日第19回多文化子育てひろば「いちご一会」開催されました。

9月2日（日）、今回はお弁当作りのワークショップということで、むくのきセンター３階調理実習室にて、第１９回多文化子育て広場いちご一会が開催されました。

 当日は、大人２６人、子ども２２人の方が参加されました。参加者の出身国は、中国、台湾、マレーシア、ベトナム、日本でした。

外国出身のママにとって日本のお弁当という文化は馴染みがなく、戸惑うことが多いということで、今回の企画に至ったそうです。実際今回参加された外国の方の国でもお弁当の文化はないとのことでした。

＜キャラ弁の作り方＞

今回は台湾出身の新田欣怡さんが簡単にできるキャラ弁の作り方を教えてくださいました。 

作るのは、＜とりさん、くまさん、ぶたさんのおにぎり三つ＞＜ハムのお花＞＜ちくわのお花２種類＞＜卵焼き＞です。

まず始めに、新田さんが実演をして作り方の説明をしてくださいました。

動物の顔ですが、１本のソーセージで、とりのとさかとくちばし、くまの耳とほっぺた、ぶたの耳と鼻ができ、それをスパゲティーの串で顔（おにぎり）に刺して作っていきます。
くまの鼻は、爪楊枝で丸く形を書いて抜いたチーズとストローで型を抜いた枝豆の合わせ技！芸が細かい！
目と口は１００均でも売っているのり型抜きパンチを使って作り、それをマヨネーズで顔に付けていくとのこと。
ハムのお花は、切込みを入れて丸めて中に枝豆を入れると出来上がり！
ちくわのお花は、ちくわの穴に丸めたハムと半分に割った枝豆をそれぞれお花と葉っぱに見立てて入れて出来上がりです!

動物の顔をつくる場面ではとても細かそうな作業もあり、できるかなと不安そうな様子の人もおられましたが、皆さん真剣なまなざしで作業を見ておられました。

スパゲティーが串になったり、ストローで型を抜けること、マヨネーズをのり替わりにできること等、色々な小技を同時に丁寧に教えてもらえて、これからキャラ弁に挑戦しようと思っている方にとってはそれだけでも大収穫だったのではないかと思います。

＜みんなで作ろう！＞

さあ、いよいよ次は実践！５つのグループに別れてキャラ弁作りの始まりです。

小さい子供は隣室で遊んだりしていますが、作りたい子や大きい子供はママと一緒にお弁当を作ります。子供のエプロン姿がとっても可愛かったです。

黙々と資料を見ながら丁寧に作っているグループ、何人かで分担してああでもないこうでもないとにぎやかなグループ、日本人ママが卵焼きの見本をみせて、外国のママと一緒に卵焼きを作っている微笑ましいグループ、のりのパンチングにハマっている子供、最後に時間がなくて「えいや～っ！」でお弁当の中におかずをほりこんでいる人もいましたが。（私です・・・）
皆さん、それぞれにとても楽しんでいる様子でした。 

動物おにぎりに関しては、みんな同じ材料・大きさで作っているのに色々な顔の表情になって、とても楽しかったです。手作りの醍醐味ですね。 

＜ランチタイム＞

最後は隣の部屋で、作ったばかりのキャラ弁ランチをみんなで一緒に食べました。
子供は自分の作ったキャラ弁を見せ合って楽しそうでした。
自分が作ったこともあってか、また可愛い見た目でテンションが上がるのか、いつもより沢山食べてくれる子が多かったようです。
不器用でめんどくさがりな私は、今までキャラ弁を作ったことはなかったのですが、子供の喜ぶ姿をみて、秋の遠足には作ってみようかと思いました。 

経験したことがないことは、なかなか取り組むまでのハードルが高く、無難にやり過ごしてしまいがちですが、今回のように何かきっかけがあれば、（一度経験してみると）ハードルが下がり取り組みやすくなるなぁと実感しました。

今回参加された外国のママ達も少しはお弁当に親しみをもってもらえたのではないかと思います。
いちご一会らしい素敵な企画でした。

2018/9/2 Multicultural Playgroup Ichigo-Ichie Report

The 19th Ichigo Ichie was held at Mukunoki Center on September 2nd, Sunday. 48 participants (26 adults and 22 children) from China, Taiwan, Malaysia, Vietnam and Japan had fun together.

Do You Make a Bento in Your Country?

The day's theme was "Let's Make a Bento". Bento, a box lunch, is popular in Japan. In autumn, Japanese kids have opportunities to take bentos their parents make, when they have school events such as sports festivals and excursions. Then, is it a bento popular in foreign countries? We asked mothers from foreign countries, "Do you make a bento in your country?" And some of them said, "No...” We learned that making a bento might be a custom unique to Japan.

Let's Learn How to Make a Bento.

Ms.Hsinyi Nitta was the day’s cooking instructor. She is from Taiwan, but she learned how to make “chara-ben (a shorten word of character bento)” by herself in Japan. The day’s chara-ben was to contain three different animal-shaped onigiris (rice balls); a bird, a pig, and a bear. She gave a demonstration of making each part on the animal’s faces; for example, cutting a sausage into ear shapes and attaching them to the head with toasted pastas; cutting seaweed into eye shapes and sticking them with mayonnaise. Then, she showed how to make two kinds of flower shapes with hum and fish sausage, and also how to make “tamago-yaki (Japanese rolled omelet)”, which is one of the most common side dishes of bento. Let’s Make It!

“How long will it take to make the chara-ben…?” Some of the mothers were worried when Ms. Nitta was giving a demonstration. But once they started, they found it not as difficult as they had expected. Mothers as well as fathers made small parts such as ears, noses, eyes…, while sometime viewing the recipe written by Ms. Nitta. At the same time, their kids put those parts on the onigiris to be made into the animal faces.

Lunch Time

Finally the time had come when kids were waiting. The parents and kids enjoyed eating the chara-ben together. Kids may have felt satisfied more than usual, not only because it looked cute, but because they made the chara-ben with their parents.

「いちご一会」は、子育て中の外国人・日本人パパママ同士の交流・情報交換を目的としています。

今回のテーマは「お弁当ワークショップ」

秋は遠足や運動会など、お弁当を作る機会が多い季節です。
子どもがよろこぶかわいいお弁当、どうやったら作れるの？
今回は、台湾出身の新田欣怡さんが、簡単にできるキャラ弁の作り方を教えてくれます。欣怡さんは毎日お子さんのためにかわいいキャラ弁を作っていて、プロ級の腕前です！
みんなでお弁当を作って食べましょう。
料理を作っている間、小さいお子さんは隣の部屋で遊びます。
大きいお子さんは一緒に作ってもOKです。
たくさんのご参加をお待ちしています。

Autumn is a season with many opportunities to make take-out/home-packed lunch, such as school excursions and sports festivals. Do you know how to make a cute "bento" for children? This time, Ms. Hsinyi Nitta from Taiwan will show us how to make a "character bento" which can be easily done. Ms. Nitta makes a cute "character bento" for her child every day, and her skills are so professional!
Let 's make a cute bento and eat together! Young children are welcome to play in the next room while elder kids join cooking in the kitchen .
 
We are looking for a lot of participation!

2018/7/1 Multicultural Playgroup Ichigo-Ichie Report

The 18th Ichigo Ichie took place on Sunday, July 1st. 58 participants (30 adults and 28 kids) from China, Australia, India, the Philippines, the UK, the USA, Malaysia and Japan had a great time together.

Traditional Children’s Play - Let’s try Origami

The theme of the day’s playgroup was "Traditional Children’s Play.” The guest speaker was Naomi Mizuno, who gave a wonderful presentation about the history of traditional children’s games that have been played in Japan for thousands of years.

We learned that games such as koma (spinning tops), tako (kites), karuta (card game), otedama (tossing bean bags) and kendama (ball and cup) have been played for a long time in Japan and in many different parts of the world with local variations. The kids had fun showing us how to play with these traditional toys.

Next we made groups and discussed what games we played in our childhood. Some examples were kinobori (climbing trees), kakurenbo (hide and seek), takeuma (stilts), ichirinsha (unicycle), ball sports, jump rope, hopscotch, Lego, train sets and menko (card game) just to name a few! We enjoyed finding out the similarities and differences of games from different countries.

After that, Naomi told us about origami (paper folding), probably the most well known type of Japanese traditional play. We were lucky to see some amazing examples of origami that she had created herself including insects, animals and dinosaurs. We also saw a beautiful rainbow senbazuru (1000 paper cranes) that is usually made to wish for someone’s good health when they are ill in hospital.

Lastly, we had lots of fun learning how to make origami shapes together such as a balloon, a ninja shuriken and a paper crane. Naomi showed us some fun games you can play with origami shapes such as sumo wrestlers. We had a great time playing together and learnt so much about traditional Japanese games!

Story Time
 
Lastly, we had story time. Nicolas Dover, from The UK, read the kids “Dear Zoo”, a animal picture book by Rod Campbell. The kids had fun listening to the story in English and Japanese.

Upcoming Meeting
 
The next Ichigo Ichie is to be held on Sunday September 2nd at the cooking room of The Mukunoki Center. It will be an obento Workshop where we will learn how to make Kawaii obento. We’re looking forward to seeing you at the next Ichigo ichie!
