せいか祭り2016が11月20日（日）に開催されます。

せいかグローバルネットは、けいはんなプラザで「国際交流コーナー」と題して、

10：00～15：00、世界各地の方々とのスカイプでの通話や多文化子育てひろば「いちご一会」のイベントを行います。

今回の「いちご一会」は、申しこみ不要です。ぜひご家族で遊びに来てください！

「いちご一会」は、子育て中の外国人・日本人パパママ同士の交流・情報交換を目的としています。

今回のテーマは「ドイツのクリスマス」。
ゲストスピーカーはドイツ出身のゴードンさんと恵さんご夫妻。
ドイツでの伝統的なクリスマスの過ごし方についてお話しくださいます。
その後、参加者のみなさんで、クリスマス・お正月の過ごし方もシェアしましょう！

10月2日（日）第6回多文化子育てひろば「いちご一会」開催！16/10/2 Multicultural Playgroup Report

(English follows)  10月2日、Cafeここらくにて、第6回多文化子育て広場が開催されました。夏を思わせる暑さの中、スタッフを含め、61人の人が集まりました。

出身国の内訳は、ベトナム、マレーシア、台湾、中国、アメリカ、そして日本でした。

いつものように4か国語で「幸せなら手をたたこう」をみんなで歌い、ゲームが続きます。今日のゲームは「肩たたきゲーム」。日本の童謡「かあさん、お肩をたたきましょ～♪」を歌いながら、隣りの人の肩をトントンとたたきます。

まずは左、次に右、そして左右を交互に、肩をトントン！ちょっと忙しいですが、できたときは、みんなにっこり。参加者全員が、大きな輪になって楽しみました。

ゲストスピーカーの美紀さんは、出産や産後のことについてお話をしてくれました。助産師として、奈良県内で10年働く美紀さんは、外国人の出産にも立ち会い、その文化や風習の違いに驚いたと言います。

どの国のお母さん(お父さんも)であれ、「どんな風に産みたいか」をじっくり考えることは、そのあとの子育てをする上でも、とても重要なことですよ、とは美紀さんからのメッセージです。

外国出身のお母さんは、出産を日本でする場合もあれば、母国でする場合もあります。その理由は、ことばが通じる方がいい、母乳育児がいい、費用面など、理由はそれぞれにあることがわかりました。

参加者からは、無痛分娩、帝王切開、予防接種についての、各国と日本の違いに関する質問が上がりました。美紀さんは、日本の自然分娩出産の背景にある考え方と、それを可能にする医療ケア環境や制度とのつながりを説明し、また、予防接種を受けるときの注意や受け方についてもアドバイスしてくれました。

その後、グループに分かれて出産について、意見を交換しました。あるグループでは、「坐月子（ズオユエズ）」と呼ばれる中国や台湾の産後習慣に話題が集中。台湾出身のお二人のお母さんが、産後一か月は家に帰らず施設で休養をとり、家事もしないと説明され、日本人のお母さんたちは思わず、「いいなぁ…」。

次に、ハワイ出身のGinaさんがハワイ語の挨拶を教えてくれました。日本でも耳にする「アロハ」ということばは「こんにちは」と「さようなら」の両方の意味があるそうです。なかなか覚えやすく、みんなで「アロハ～☼」と練習しました。

続いてGinaさんが「the MONSTER at the end of this Book」という絵本を紹介してくれました。

Ginaさんが絵本を読み、息の合った息子のJacobくんがページをめくります。怪物が今にも飛び出してきそうな、生き生きとした語り口に、子どもたちも大人たちも、釘づけになりました。

最後に、11月20日のせいか祭り、12月18日の外国人メッセージコンテストについてのお知らせがありました。その後、いつものようにランチを食べながら、交流タイムとなりました。

次回の「いちご一会」は、12月4日(日)、午前10時30分から、Cafeここらくにて開催されます。ゲストスピーカーはドイツ人のゴードンさんと日本人のめぐみさんご夫妻、ドイツのクリスマスについて、お話をしてくれます。

On a sunny Sunday of Oct.2, the sixth multilingual playgroup gathering took place at Cafe Kokoraku. Sixty-one parents and kids from Vietnam, Malaysia, Taiwan, China, U.S.A. and Japan had a lot of fun together.

We sang a song “If you’re happy and you know it.” in Korean, Chinese, English and Japanese and had a moment of being multilingual!

Today’s game, “Shoulder tapping” turned out to be an exercise for our hand-eye-ear coordination! We successfully tapped the shoulders of the persons on both sides singing a famous Japanese song “Shoulder massage” Good team, everyone!

Today’s guest speaker, Miki-san gave us a talk on choices on delivery and after childbirth. She, while working as a midwife for ten years in Nara area, helped foreign mothers give birth and experienced various cultures and customs surrounding maternity.

“It’s a very good idea to have a moment beforehand to think about how you want to have your baby for any to-be moms and dads. It gives you a good start for a long child-raising run” is a message from her.

Some mothers choose to have a baby in Japan while others choose to go home for delivery considering the language barrier, the advantage of breastfeeding support or simply the costs.

Questions such as painless delivery, caesarean section practice, immunisation after birth followed from the audience who wanted to know the differences among the countries.

Miki-san explained the main idea of natural birth practice in Japan as well as the medical care environment and the social systems that help realize the idea. She also gave some tips for having your baby immunised.

Then we moved on to a group talk. Two mothers from Taiwan introduced to us “sitting the month” custom in Taiwan and China that made us jealous. It’s the custom that mothers, after delivery, stay in a special care at centres or hotel-like facilities for a month or longer while recovering. They are allowed no housework for that period.

Next, Gina from Hawaii taught us how to greet in Hawaiian. That is, “Aloha” for “Hello.” and “Aloha.” for “See you later.” We mastered them all in a moment. Thank you, Gina!

She also showed us one of the sesame books, “the MONSTER at the end of this Book” (Stone, J., published by Golden Books). She read and her son, Jacob turned each page in a perfect tune. The story quickly came to the climax and we gasped.

Last but not the least, some brief announcements on Seika festival on Nov.20 and Annual Japanese Message Contest on Dec.18 were given. Anyone ready for a challenge, go for it!

By this time we couldn’t wait to open our lunch boxes and had a chat.

Our next “Ichigo ichie” gathering is to be held at Cafe Kokoraku at 10:30 in the morning on Dec.4. The guest speakers are a couple, Gordon from Germany and Megumi from Japan. The topic is the Christmas in Germany. Please check it out!

8月7日（日）第5回多文化子育てひろば「いちご一会」開催！ 2016/8/7 Multicultural Playgroup Report

　8月７日、Cafeここらくにて、第5回多文化子育て広場が開催されました。
今回の参加者は、スタッフを含め46人、出身国は、スウェーデン、ドイツ、台湾、中国、日本でした。

　まずは、恒例の英語、韓国語、中国語、日本語の4か国語で歌う「幸せなら手をたたこう」。

　次に、参加者が4つのグループに分かれ、ゲームに挑戦しました。
その名も「聖徳太子ゲーム」。
各グループで一つの野菜を選び、一人が一音ずつ、全員が同時に、その野菜の名前を叫びます。

　一番目のグループが名前を叫ぶと…。えっ、同時に言われると「？？？」。
と、その時、女の子が、「いちご！」と見事に正解。
その後は、「えんどうまめ」、「ほうれんそう」など、長い単語に、

参加者は耳を凝らして、答えを考えました。

　本日のゲストスピーカーは、Ｙさん。カナダ人の夫と一緒に、娘さん二人を日本で育てるＹさんが、今回のテーマ「子供の言語教育」について、お話をしてくださいました。

　一人目のお子さんが生まれた時、Ｙさんは「家庭では英語、外では日本語」という考えで、英語で話しかけていました。が、しだいに「お母さんのふりをしているようで悲しい」と感じるようになりました。そこで、「ママは日本語、パパは英語」を使うように切り替えました。また、パパの英語はわかる、でも、話せないという状態だった二人の娘さんが、パパの生まれたカナダに行ったことをきっかけに、一気に英語を話すようになっていったそうです。

　Ｙさんは、日本で生活する外国人のパパ・ママに、「自信を持って、自分のことばで育ててみては。自信を持ったお母さんお父さんの幸せは伝わります」。それから、「できるだけふるさとの国に帰る機会を作ってください。そこで出会う家族と話すことばが、自然に入りますよ。」と、メッセージを送ってくれました。

　その後、両親が日本人だけど英語を身に付けさせたい、
また、子どもが3か国語の環境にいるがどうしたらよいか、という
参加者の質問に、ご自身の経験をふまえた助言をくれました。
また、参加者には、京都府国際センター作成「バイリンガルを育てる」というパンフレットが配布されました。

　次に、母国語であるマレー語の挨拶を、リナさんが教えてくださいました。「スラマッ」という音が、語の最初によく現れます。日本語では「安全」という意味だそうです。

　最後は中国出身の文劍 さん 莉 さんご夫妻が、五味太郎さんの絵本、「きんぎょがにげた」を朗読してくださいました。１ページずつ、莉さんの中国語に続いて、夫の文劍 さんが日本語で読みます。語りの優しい響きにみな、うっとりとしていました。

　終了後、いつものようにランチを食べながら、交流タイムとなりました。

　次回の「いちご一会」は、10月2日(日)、午前10時30分から、Cafeここらくにて開催されます。ゲストスピーカーは助産師の美紀さん。「出産」について、お話をしてくださいます。お楽しみに！

      We, 46 participants from Sweden, Germany, Malaysia, Taiwan, China and Japan, started our gathering with a song,” if you're happy and you know it” in Chinese, Korean, English and Japanese. 

      On this very hot and humid summer day, we still wanted an icebreaker, a word game of Shotoku Taishi, a legendary politician, who is believed to be capable of listening to ten people simultaneously and understanding them all.

       It was harder than we thought and we proved ourselves to be far from him but had fun, anyway!



      Our guest speaker spoke about what she saw with her Canadian husband while deciding her children’s languages and       education at home. 

      We learned it’s important to master the language of where you live but the language that connects your family together is just as necessary.

       Lots of questions from families who are away from home and inter-marriage couples suggested we should delve into this subject from now on.

       Handouts (HAMADA Mari, Nurturing bilingualism,Kyoto Prefectural International Center) delivered are also available on line. Please check it out if you are interested!

     

 We also learned how to greet in Malaysian with Rina and did rather a good job before moving on to the picture book reading by Li and Wenjian from China. 

   Title of the book was "Where's the fish?" by Taro Gomi and we were totally absorbed.

It seemed like its "hide and seek" magic worked for everyone and saw no borders. 

Thanks very much for coming and making our gathering inspiring and fruitful today.

６月４日（日）第４回多文化子育てひろば開催！Sun. June 4th Multicultural Playgroup Report

　Caｆeここらくで開かれた第4回「いちご一会」には雨にも関わらず、参加者・スタッフ合わせて57人の皆さんが集まりました。出身地の内訳は日本、韓国、台湾、マレーシア、アメリカです。

　今回はKBS京都からテレビ取材が入り、少し緊張気味のスタートとなりました。この模様は6月24日金曜日午後5：45からの「ニュースフェイス」で放送の予定です。お見逃しなく！

　初めに、「幸せなら手をたたこう」を日本語、中国語、韓国語、　そして英語の４ヶ国語で歌いました。とりわけ、キョンヒさんの歌う韓国語バージョンに、会場はしばし、うっとり。

　次にグループに分かれてピクニックバスケットゲームを楽しみました。次々に名前と持ち物の名前を覚えていく記憶ゲームに、皆さん、ドキドキ。緊張感を味わいながら、大いに盛り上がりました。

　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　

　今回のゲストスピーカーは真理子さん。彼女はアイルランド在住中に３人のお子さんを出産されました。

　スピード出産だったので、ベッドが空いておらず、案内されたのはなんとシャワールーム。「足が震えてフラフラするんだけど、大丈夫かしら？」と尋ねる真理子さんへの、助産師さんの返事は「出産したばかりだから、ちゃんと立てないのは仕方ないのよ。」

　ほかにも、「あなたの出産が早かったからみんな早く帰れるわ。ありがとう。」と言われた話など、日本の出産を経験した人たちには、まさに驚きでした。

　また、赤ちゃんのくるみ方をそれぞれ披露しあい、地域によって少しずつ違うことに、感心しきりでした。

　次にベトナム出身のフンさんが母国語の挨拶を教えてくださり、みんなで練習しました。そして、フンさんの絵本「３人の娘」の朗読に耳を傾けました。ベトナム語が心地よく会場に響き渡りました。

　ひろば終了後は、いつものようにお弁当を広げ、おしゃべりをしながら、楽しいひと時を過ごし、交流を深めました。

　次回の「いちご一会」の開催は、８月７日の日曜日、
午前１０時３０分から、場所はCafeここらくです。

　みなさんにお会いできるのを楽しみにしています。

　　　　Despite a slight drizzle,  a group of 57 participants from China, Malaysia, Taiwan, U.S.A and Japan got together for some chatting and culture exchange.

　　　As always, we began our gathering with a sing-along. We sang "If you're happy and you know it " in four different languages.They were Japanese, Chinese, Korean and English. 

         It' s hard but we are making progress! Thanks for  Kyung Hee for her enchanting voice!

　　　Today's topic was "child birth". One of our staff, Mariko gave a talk about her experience of giving birth in Ireland and showed how Irish mothers wrap their newborn babies. Then we exchanged our own experiences explaining how to wrap our own babies. What a variety there is!

　　　We also had a mother, Huong from Vietnam who taught us how to greet in Vietnamese before reading a picture book  out "Three daughters" from home. We were all fascinated by the way the language sounded!

         Last but not the least, we welcomed a TV crew from KBS Kyoto for the news clips. The pictures and the interviews of our event are to be broadcasted on KBS Kyoto <NEWS FACE> at 5:45 p.m. on Friday, June 24th. Don't miss it!
