12月4日（日）第8回多文化子育てひろば「いちご一会」開催! 2016/12/4 Multicultural Playgroup Ichigo-Ichie Report

 12月4日（日）、Cafeここらくにて、第8回多文化子育てひろばが開催されました。スタッフを含め、65人が集まりました。出身国の内訳は、ドイツ、イタリア、イギリス、アメリカ、ベトナム、マレーシア、中国、そして日本でした。

本日のテーマは「ドイツのクリスマス」。始まりと終わりにクリスマスソングを歌いました。

始まりは「もみの木」を、終わりは「きよしこの夜」を、それぞれドイツ語と日本語で。クリスマス気分は一層高まりました。

次に、参加者が4つのグループに分かれ、ゲームに挑戦。第5回でもやった「聖徳太子ゲーム」です。

各グループが、クリスマスから連想する言葉を一つ選び、各人が一つの音を担当して、同時に全員が発声します。聞いている者は、その言葉を当てます。
「トナカイ」、「クリスマスケーキ」、「サンタ」は当てられましたが、「くつした」は意外にも当てられず。それにしても、各グループの息の合った発声は見事でした。

続いて、ドイツ出身のゴードンさんが「ドイツのクリスマス」について、お話をしてくれました。

ドイツではクリスマスの4週間前から、その準備である「アドヴェント（Advent）」が始まります。4本のロウソクを立てたテーブルリース、アドヴェントクランツや、くるみ割り人形などの木製の置物を飾り、クッキーやシュトーレンなどの焼き菓子をたくさん手作りします。

12月1日から始まるアドヴェントカレンダーは、その日の窓やポケットを開けると、毎日違うイラストやお菓子が出てくる仕掛けです。これで、クリスマスまでのカウントダウンが楽しくなりますね。
会場では、ゴードンさんのお家で飾る、かわいらしい手作りのアドヴェントカレンダーを見せてもらいました。市販のチョコレートやボンボンなどを使っても、気軽にご家庭で真似できそうです。

さらに、手作りのものが登場。ゴードンさん恵さんご夫妻の手作りクッキーです！三日月の形をした真っ白な美味しいクッキーにみんな大喜び！ママたちからはレシピのリクエストがあるほどの人気でした。

お腹も甘く満たされた後は、本場のクリスマスマーケットやニコラウス（サンタクロース）、クリスマスツリー、クリスマスプレゼント、歌、教会のお話などを、写真と共にたっぷり楽しみました。

クリスマスは日本でいう大晦日やお正月のようなイメージで、家族や親族が集まって一緒に過ごす大切な日だそうです。そして、子供たちにとって、24日の夜にサンタさんからもらうプレゼントは最大の楽しみです。

また、本物志向のドイツでは、クリスマスツリーはもみの木を切り出して、ツリーに仕立て、ガラスのオーナメントや火を灯したロウソクなどを飾るそうです。「ぜひ、本場のドイツでクリスマスを体験してほしい」とのことです。魅力的なドイツのクリスマスへ、一度は行ってみたいですね。

お話の後は、ドイツの絵本「たんこぶができたフクロウ」をご夫妻が読んでくれました。心がほっこりするお話に、みんな笑顔になりました。

プログラム終了後は、お弁当を食べながら、おしゃべりのひとときを楽しみました。

次回の「いちご一会」は2017年2月5日(日)、午前10時30分から、Cafeここらくにて開催予定です。

The 8th Ichigo-Ichie took place at Café Kokoraku on Sunday, December 4th. Sixty-five adults and kids from Germany, Italy, the U.K., the U.S.A., Vietnam, Malaysia, China and Japan gathered and had fun together.

“Christmas season in Germany” was today’s theme. We began our meeting with singing “O Christmas Tree (O Tannebaum)" in German and Japanese. We even picked up the words associated with Christmas holidays in the guessing game we played today. “To-na-ka-i (reindeer)”, “ku-ri-su-ma-su ke-i-ki (christmas cake)” and “sa-n-ta (Santa)” were easy,  but we gave up with “ku-tsu-si-ta (stockings)”.

Gordon, Today’s guest from Germany, gave a wonderful talk about “Christmas in Germany” using lots of photos. We learned about “advent”, which is a time to prepare for Christmas celebrations and starts four weeks before Christmas Day. They set up Christmas decorations such as adventskrants--a table wreath with four candles, nutcrackers and other ornaments. They also bake a lot of cookies and stollens for the  season.

 

An advent calendar that they keep from the first day of December has windows or pockets to open. Each day reveals a verse from the Bible or a small chocolate to make the countdown more exciting. Here’s a picture of a handmade advent calendar of Gordon family!

We enjoyed the authentic Christmas cookies Gordon and Megumi had baked at home. The crescent-shaped white cookies are called wiener vanilekipfel!

Christmas is a special occasion to bring the family together in Germany, not to mention to open gifts on the Christmas Eve for kids! It’s like New Year’s Eve and New Year’s celebrations in Japan.

Thanks to Gordon and Megumi, we experienced a bit of their Christmas spirit. By the time we sang “Silent Night (Still Nacht Heilige Nacht)” in German, we were totally absorbed in Christmas cheer.

Let’s go and see their Christmas markets, St. Nicholas, their real Christmas trees,

their church plays and many more things in Germany some day.

Our next Ichigo-Ichie is planned at Café Kokoraku at 10:30 on Sunday, February  5th . The theme will be wedding ceremonies in Taiwan. Bring your wedding photos and we’ll all take turns sharing with each other!

　11月20日は、精華町秋の風物詩「せいか祭り」でした。今回のいちご一会は、このお祭りに参加して、けいはんなプラザ・イベントホールで行いました。

なんと、6つの違ったお話を、6つの国の出身のお母さんたちが読んでくれるという豪華版。合わせて、6つの国の言葉で挨拶を学び、それぞれのお母さんたちには、地域での暮らしや子育てについて感じていることを話してもらいました。

在住歴は2年～10年以上とさまざまな、お母さんたちの感想は、

・日本は治安がよく、生活も便利。

・外出した時に授乳やおむつ交換の場所があって、

　助かる。

・医療費補助があり、予防接種も整っている。

　小児科の先生もやさしい。

・精華町は大阪、京都、奈良のいずれからも近く、都会の暮らしと田舎の暮らしを満喫できてよい、というものもありました。

悩み事としては、

・子供が学校にいる時間が長く、宿題も多い。

・夏休みや冬休みに遊びに行ける場所を、もっと知りたい。

多文化子育て「いちご一会」が、外国出身のママたちやパパたちの悩みや不安を少しでも、解消できる場になると嬉しいですね。

当日は、午前11時からと午後1時半からの2回に分けて、7人のお母さんが、選りすぐりの絵本をお国の言葉で読んで下さいました。どきどき、わくわくしながら、大人も子供もうっとり聞きほれました。絵本の一覧です。

・『長くつしたのピッピ』（ミリアムさん、スウェーデン出身）

・『くまさん　くまさん　なにみてるの？』（麗栄さん、中国出身）

各国の子供たちに人気のある本や、日本の子供たちにもなじみのある本など、素敵な本ばかりです。日本で手に入るものもあります。興味のある絵本があったら、ぜひ、読んでみてください。

次回の多文化子育てひろば「いちご一会」は12月4日開催予定、場所はCafe ここらくです。皆さんの参加をお待ちしています。

Our 7th Ichigo-Ichie took part in the community’s annual event  Seika Festival.This meeting was held at Keihannna Plaza in Seika Town.

Today’s extended edition of Ichigo-Ichie had six stories told by seven mothers as well as some introductions of greetings in six languages: Vietnamese, Taiwanese, Swedish, Malaysian, Hawaiian and Chinese.

          We also interviewed each mom and found out what they think of living in the Seika area. They said things like:

It's safe here and things are easily available. Diaper changing stations and facilities for breastfeeding are helpful.
Medical costs are reasonable and vaccination services are well-developed.
Some pediatricians are approachable.The area has both of a good access to popular places such as Kyoto, Osaka and Nara and a quality of country life.

          However, some complain about:

Kids spending long hours at school and having a lot of homework to do.
Having a hard time finding a good place to visit during long holidays.

         I'm sure many people also feel this way, so let’s work together to make Seika an easier and happier place to live in.

        These are books popular among children in various countries including Japan.Why not try and read one for yourself!  Some are available at bookstores and libraries in the area.
